This gentleman attended our Cars & Coffee with Wayne Carini where I demonstrated the Flex 3401, Pinnacle compounds, polishes and waxes on a 1998 Ferrari.

Wayne Carini at Autogeek's Cars & Coffee on Saturday December 13th

He then purchased everything in the Show Special Kit and buffed out his beautiful 1951 Chevy to remove all the swirls. Nice!

The owner was really nice and had his hands full answering questions about his car. I gave him my contact information and told him we would love to have his car at our new studio for a Thursday night project.

:)

There was an interesting RV at this show....

watermark.php

And all swirled out....

watermark.php

This RV has a basecoat/clearcoat finish on it. A LOT of high end RV's/Motorhomes have a basecoat/clearcoat finish on them and just like cars with basecoat/clearcoat paint systems, if you use caveman compounds and polishes and even archaic cleaner/waxes on them, you're going to swirl out the paint and because they are so HUGE it's going to be very noticeable.

It's also a disservice to the RV owner to do this to so much paint that like a car is very thin.

Do the right thing, use top quality compounds, polishes and AIO's on RV's.

:dunno:

Last of the pictures....

Huge turn out at last night's show...

And my buddy Ken just bought this rust free California car for his son. This car has the original paint and while at the show I shared with Ken how to restore antique single stage metallic paint. Without question, the HARDEST type of paint to restore once it gets to this condition.

And here's the perfect car for the Sunday Car Show at the 2015 Detail Fest in March!

It's Christmas Eve day and I'm out of here as we all get off at noon today!

Merry Christmas and I hope you enjoy the Christmas Car Show pictures!

:)

Merry Christmas Mike

Tha panel truck project is still top secret???

That DeTomaso must be one rare car, I can't even find anything on a Scorpion model.

Are you going to get to shine that thing up? The swirls were horrible.

I very nicely shared with the owner that I would love to have the car at Autogeek for a special project and that we would remove the swirls and restore a show car finish to the paint.

I gave him my business card and pointed out my e-mail address and phone number. My buddy Gene was there and he shared with the owner that his car would be in good hands.

So its now up to the owner.

My take on this is that if the owner contacts me it's meant to be. If not, then that's okay to and I'm moving forward with the project.

I like having unique projects just for good eye candy, like these past projects,

I find I make friends in this industry that last all my life...

Cool experience and looking forward for the advance course in a near future.

After January's class all future classes will now be 3 days long and take place in our new Show Car Garage with more room to work and as always, incredible cars to work on.
