Something that could happen down the road, but I know a lot of places offer 5% cash back or extra points per dollar when you shop through the credit card respected online market place, like the ShopDiscover or ThankYou from Citi. Is there a chance AutoGeek could get involved with this?

Most of the companies involved are very large companies will a huge credit card transactions. It is usually not practical do get involved because of the costs as a small/medium business. Just use a credit card that has points or offers cash back. AG also has awesome promotions all the time.... Buy 1 Get 1 Free, Vip Special, Free Shipping w/ orders over $95, Awesome Sales around Holidays, etc. I have gotten 20% off on some items. Just keep checking - there is always a deal.

Although, I would like to save more money too Ziggo99!!!

Amex Blue for me, 5% on gas & Groceries, 2% everywhere else. No way I would get a card just to shop at one place.

I like the idea of an AG Rewards card and have to agree with toycar18 as well. IMHO I believe AG has it right, offer discounts to everyone and not just your repeat customers. Have a broad product mix so that discounts can be provided often. You will notice that most companies that offer points or cash back are the credit card companies and processors themselves. An additional 1% of charge volume per year can increase profits 15-20% easily; then they throw back 0.25% to the customers with rebates.

Side topic: Citibank is getting back in the game. I received an offer for a new card at 0% on charges and balance transfers through Aug-2013. I love using other people's money! Check it out!

I am using the costco Amex.
does a lot of place accept amex in the states? not that popular in canada.

I'm not saying AG make a credit card, I'm saying just get involved with the ShopDiscover program (or similar programs with other credit cards) so when you shop through their online marketplace, you get X% cash back or Y points from that credit card.

Amex cards still carry the charge card perception rather than the credit card model they use for most of their products. Their fees are a little more expensive but they don't have a lot of back-end fees like mc and visa could. Historically, some merchants just wont accept amex, mostly small and medium sized businesses.

Looks like you can get 3% cash back from Shopathome.com if you sign up with them.

I've never used them but if they work like ebates, or mrrebates once you earn a certain amount ($20 for shopathome) by clicking through their link, they send a check.

Hope this is ok to post mods- please delete if not.
