Yesterday I got caught out in the rain. When I got home the car was soaked. I hadn't washed my car recently so it was pretty dirty. I was debating what would be the best method for drying in this state. Blot dry with a towel or just let bit air dry.

I was worried the air drying would leave water spots and the towel drying would scratch as there was dirt on the car.

I ended up blotting it, trying not to pull the towel at all as I moved along. Made me want the Metrovac or some other kind of compressed air to get the water off.

I would wash first .... or at very least rinseless or waterless wash.

Is this a DD? cause ur going a little crazy if it is. If ur that worried I'd suggest a coating on it. A daily driver is gonna get rain on it.

I did the rinseless in the garage first on my garage queen when that happened to me.

For me, rain on my vehicle means a wash step is in order. Be it waterless, rinseless, or 2BM, some sort of cleaning is in order before an attempt to dry it is going to happen. There is simply too much debris in the atmosphere that gets encapsulated in rain water to go straight to drying, IMO.

Most likely its the GTR in his avatar. I would pressure rinsed it then blotted it.

Yeah. Won't be able to wash for a few more days. In the middle of moving into a new house. Thanks for the input. Will leave it be until a proper wash can he arranged.

Two bucket wash for sure! If not, you can blast off the water with the master blaster

Then in that case I would coat it for sure!!! Too expensive to leave with regular wax if your worried about water spotting from getting caught in the rain. And on a black car no less. LOL

Once the move is over it is getting a full treatment. Polish and coatings. Going with CQUK, DKUX and Flyby30. Just got everything on the mail for the prep and maintenance side of things. Hoping to do it all this coming weekend
