Pads don't last forever, this is part of the wearing out process, and the reason why LC came up with the 1-pad concept (which never seems to have caught on). The suggestion at the time was that even one use would noticeably change the properties of a pad.
With heat and pressure and chemical added, then washing, it is a characteristic of any foam to soften up a bit.
All material subjected to force generally result in deformation to a certain extent, some more than other - known as resilience.
Different type of foam has higher resilience than other. Where chemical is introduced, it has two effects, it can be softer or harder.
Is any one else finding these pads soften up in the center after or 2nd time use? Wondering if I'm applying too much pressure, using the pad for too long of if my 7424xp is just generating too much heat and killing the pads. Thx.
Hi All
Has anyone had experience with the orange CCS pads starting to soften? My Orange pads seem to be getting less firm. is this normal?
I wash them after every job they are used and put on the rack to dry facing down.
anyone have any ideas?

Not that it matters other than me just being curious, but how many times have you used the orange pad, and approximately how long did you use it each time?
I'm just trying to gauge what to expect, really. I've used my orange pad 4 times, at an average of 1.5 hours of use each time.
