Hi guys, I recently threaded a post about my ccs pads getting really hot in the centre while compounding. I have also noticed that the centre of the pads is losing its thickness while the outer areas of the pads are fine and thicker. It looks like the centres are collapsing. Would this be due to saturation of product or to much pressure/heat build up during compounding?

And can I still use these pads when they are like this??

Thanks.

Are you using multiple foam pads during a step?

I have at the moment two 6.5" ccs orange pads plus blue polishing, and a black finishing pad. I did a couple of panels with an orange pad then cleaned it and allowed it to dry while i used the second pad and repeated the process.
