So.... what's this I keep reading and hearing about Glossworks Glaze? I keep hearing that this is the best thing since sliced bread. First off, my favorites are EZ Creme and Blacklight + V7. That's the wettest look I've seen so far.

So can anyone who has USED and LOVES glossworks glaze (GG) please explain to me and the rest of the AGers as to why GG is touted to be the best glaze out there? Does it look that much better than EZ or Blacklight? or easy to apply? or much wetter looking? What is it?

Durability I don't care much. As this will go on Marilyn, so it'll never see rain.

p.s. if it's really THAT good, I will have to order it outside of AG, since AG doesn't carry it.

I found it to be a fantastic base product to later apply BL + V7. Obviously surface prep is key to a wet finish but I felt that GG lived up to the hype. It's super easy to apply and remove and it simply sets the tone for the wet finish.

Only catch is, you have to call CG to order it.

Why I can't speak in comparison terms, it's the only glaze I've used and I liked the results very much. There is an excellent review on a Mustang forum where it was used on speed 6, that it seemed to remove defects, and if it didn't it filled over 90% of them.

It's nice to work it and it works well with other sealants. I topped it with BFWD and then AGHD, and I never had any issues (nor will I have the chance to find out, due to waxing once a week). But it really did make the paint pop.

There is one site online that carries Glossworkz Glaze, besides CG directly.

Thanks for the responses guys. So it sounds like, GWG is mostly something to be used as a base for a sealant or nuba? Is there anything wrong with leaving it as the final lsp? Or would it just disintegrate over course of couple days? (as I mentioned earlier, vehicle will never get wet except when washing..... at which point, I'd just apply another coat of GWG anyways). So I'm assuming GWG has no protective qualities whatsoever?

I was just hoping not to top GWG, so as not to change the original "look" that GWG gives. I know when topping it, you essentially take on the qualities of that final LSP.... which renders the base glaze essentially almost useless.

I would put the following combo up against any other combo currently offered anywhere anytime:

After polishing:
1) Glossworkz glaze applied at high speed with a DA; then

2) Blacklight by hand; then

3) top with V7 after every wash.

You could apply a carnuba wax after Blacklight and before V7 for a more deep look.

Are they updatin the formula or something because web I went to the CG store a couple of weeks back this stuff was on sale for like 10 bucks. I picked one up and haven't had a chance to use it. I'm going back next week, I can be a good AGer and pick some up for people just pay price + shipping.

I am already a blacklight and v7 fan... So I wonder how much better glossworks will be. Btw, I already just placed an order.

Btw, why does blacklight have to be applied by hand? I apply blacklight via pc and looks fantastic.

I applied both GG and BL via machine, low speed low. Speed 3 IIRC

No one else has any input of Glossworkz? Come on folks.

Just buy it and find out what the hype is. It's a fantastic product, leaves a beautiful finish, etc... I have a review on L2D under the review section if you want to check it out.

You guys that said glossworkz then BL, isn't the BL going to remove the glossworkz since it has the microabrasives?

By hand the fine abrasives in BL will not remove previous products (like GG or a previous layer of BL). With machine it might depending on the pad.

BL can have AIO properties when machine applied with a correction pad. Lots of posts about this.

Yea I've read stuff before. What I thought I remembered is that glozzworkz should be applied over blacklight. Maybe I was thinking that since I was planning to use the BL as a mild polish. Not sure now.

I'm just wondering what the point of topping GG with BL is when it's been said that GG looks better?

I applied the BL via Porter Cable at very low speeds (2.5-3). I thought the end result was better than my previous BL/V7.

I have a bottle jst sitting in my garage waiting to be used. Smells great :)

Will GWG beat the BL/V7 combo? Here's a shot I took today after using BL via PC, speed 3/blue pad, then V7 after.
