I just recently saw a new brush from chemical guys called the concours detailing brush, It looks exactly like the daytona speed master with a different handle
Thoughts?

The CG handle looks nicer and it's less expensive.

The Daytona is just an EZ brush.

Yeah I just saw it a few seconds ago it's just another way to bring in revenue I don't see any difference from a regular Daytona brush therefore if I didn't have already 10 spoke brushes(5 of them begin Daytona brushes) and I was in the market for a spoke brush I would pick Daytona brush over chemical guys...just my eight cent

I would also pick the daytona over chemical guys. However, the bristles, color pattern, size and other features look similar. It could be contracted work, but Im saying it could also be a chemical guys version like the foam blaster 6

Hi,
I would guess both of the brushes are made by the same company, someone like SM Arnold. There are usually many options available to customize a product to resell. That's just what they do. Can't say that's what's happening here but I would bet it is.

What's in a name? It's the brush manufacturer who makes the brushes anyway and to whoevers spec, color etc.

if you notice.. cg's racoon brush looks pretty similiar to this eh?

Not only in this instance, but for many, many others:

Completely off topic, but it seems like many people here don`t like Chemical Guys. Is there a reason?

Well, probably several reasons:

A) this is an AG affiliated site. There will be some natural bias toward their products.

B) chemical guys has a history of releasing the same, or at least functionally the same, products in a new label or color and upcharging for the new item.

C) chemical guys marketing hype is way over the top and their product descriptions don't adequately tell you what exactly the product is or does in some cases.

D) chemical guys selectively edit the reviews of products for sale at their website. Negative reviews are completely wiped out. Go to the site and try to find one negative review of any product they carry. It doesn't exist, though I myself have submitted several.

:whs:

I have their Goat brush, and when I saw SM Arnold's version on another site, I'm very certain they are both the same.

Doesn't bother me. As long as the quality is there, it's fine. Being a cheaper alternative is a big plus for us. It's cheap & junky that I hate.

Not so much with their products (some winners amongst the sea of mediocrity) to their marketing. Confusing, to say the least.
