Chemical Guys Customer Service Sucks

I have placed a couple orders with them and haven't had any issues, but I have read a few horror stories about their customer service. In fact a guy was posting on the CG forum about getting a damaged shipment and it took WEEKS before they finally made it right. Not good.

Forgive me for my rant, but I have never been so ticked off at a company as I am right now. I placed an order with Chemical guys on August 16, got an email on August 18 that my order had shipped and I would receive it on August 21, well somehow, my order got damaged in shipping, I got no call, and when my shipment did not arrive, I called them to find out that they didn't know what happened. That's fine, they said they would expedite shipping and I would have it today, August 28th. Got an email this morning saying I would receive my items on Tuesday, September 2nd. I've called them twice, and then they said they would look into this further and call me back in five minutes. Right now it's been five hours and no call. If that's how a company treats it's customers this will be my last order with them. Sorry for my long rant, but I really needed to vent!

Shoulda bought your CG products through AG :dblthumb2:

I think one look at the way they respond to critics on the comments section of their youtube channel would give someone a pretty good idea of how their customer service department performs.

Have bought several of their products and wasn't really impressed at all. Their air fresheners are a joke. Last one day tops.
I agree with the Walmart of detailing supplies comment.

I have some of their products, and they are good. But as many have said, i never buy directly from them.

CG is just three blocks from my friend's motorcycle shop so it's an easy jog to go see what is on their blem, bashed, and busted shelves. I usually find something worth getting.

It makes me appreciate the AWESOME customer service at AutoGeek.

V7 and honeydew is all i order from them. Their 20% off deals barely cover shipping prices (since I don't typically buy mass quantities to get free shipping). I found Amazon to be a better deal to order through since they provided better prices and free shipping (with Subscribe & Save).

You guys are scaring me. I am hesitant to order from chemical guy now

Sent from my SM-N900W8 using AG Online

I've ordered from them twice and never had an issue...don't be scurred!

The worst part about it is it seems like their customer service or lack there of has been failing for quite a while and nothing is done about it on their end.

Not only is their customer service lacking but it seems they are a dishonest company as well. I've personally seen comments on their website that are not well received and to find out later on they were magically gone. THAT is what ticks me off the most.

They must not be hurting for business then because if they were they'd be making more of an effort.

I will not buy from them again. Ever.

You should have seen the Grand Opening at their new Gardena, CA location

What a cluster

They had pallets of mislabeled and damaged products

I did buy three of the older Tornadors (Z-10) for $10 each, so it wasn't all bad

I've actually been buying from Chemical Guys for years, dating back to their days on Century when the chubby girl and Paul basically handled the sales. Their showrooms have gotten better and better over the years. The one they have now is actually really good and usually has like 2 people people working in it. You can get in and out much faster than in the past.

I was at the grand opening and allen4, you are incorrect. The showroom was great and they had specials going on, some cheesey car show, food trucks, etc. They had a special section as their bargain bin, but it was outside and was specifically for blems and stuff (loaded up on microfibers). Not sure if you have ever been to a dent and ding sale from other companies, but that's what those look like.

Since I buy from the showroom, I haven't really had a need to call them (other than to see if they are open which changes from time to time). Seems like their products are getting better and more professional. I honestly don't need that much customer service. What is everyone calling them about?

^ do you work there since you just joined and have 1 post?
seems suspicious since everyone seems to have problems with them but the guy that joined just to type that message out.....

Hi Atticus -

I actually have 3 posts now. I don't particluarly shop online as I said. I shop in their store (live in the Inglewood area). I was actually looking for help on a job on another post.

I have ordered through them and prime, everything always shows up in a good box, wrapped in plastic. No leaks, no problems. Same as when I order through AG.

Maybe they just had a bad day. Their email support is bad though.

However, their products are cheap, easy to use, and give me good results on our DD.

I would be pretty irritated if I had to deal with what you are going through and probably wouldn't do business with them again. Bad customer support = end of my business. I have very little tolerance for people that can't get their act together. Luckily I haven't had a problem with them, but if I did I would probably only order from AG and prime as usual.
