About to pull the trigger on a order from Chemical Guys, was hoping to get a little input from anyone interested in giving their 2cents. Id say my paint in is very good condition, last week I clayed my car and only have very light scratchs that I'm sure will be removed with a light polish. I planned on ordering the following products from chemical guys, anyone have any experience with these or suggest something better?

Extreme Body Wash + Synthetic Wax
All In One Polish + Shine + Sealant
Wet Mirror Finish Ultra Slick Magnifier
V.R.P. Super Shine Dressing

I already have a paste wax from Meguirs thats white paint specific that I planned on using as a last step. I'll be using the dressing on my tires as well as throughout the interior.

Any input would be appreciaited. Oh and yes I have a Orbital that I'll be using to apply to the product expect for the paste wax.

If you will be doing some correction on your paint, I would suggest CG Citrus Wash Clear as a prep wash! Its highly concentrated and can be used either as a maintenance wash or mixed strong to strip your paint of wax or sealant before polishing or applying a new wax or sealant. I use it exclusively as a prep wash and use Duragloss 901 as a maintenance

Are you hand washing or using a PW and foam cannon?

I didn't know that Meguiar's had this white paint specific paste wax.
What's the name on the tub? And :Picture: would be most helpful.

Help me to understand:
You are not placing this order...for some CG's labeled products...from AGO?

Thanks for pointing that out Bob, I missed that part. I assumed the CG products were being ordered from AGO.
Meguiars white wax... Meguiars White Wax, wax for white cars, wax for white paint

I have, and have used, this particular Meguiar's wax.
Believe me: It really isn't white paint specific.

:)

Bob

I've never purchased or used a color specific wax. I don't quite understand how, nor do I believe that any such product could possibly improve the clarity of CC in two stage paint. Single stage paint maybe, however I've tried it.

Im placing the order from CG directly, because theres a few other things i'm getting through them I couldnt on AGO.

And the white specific paste wax was a shot in the dark, Ive tried tons of waxes. But never this paste so figured why not, honestly dosent seem much diff to me.

Im hand washing. I'll check out the citrus wash, thanks!

I guess my biggest question is about the All In One Polish + Shine + Sealant, is that fine for a cutting compound to take out the paint swirls?

What ratio would you use for a maintenance wash vs wax/sealant strip?

I find AIO products work best on "almost perfect" finishes. Every vehicle and application is different so you won't know until you try. I don't use AIO products very often as they have limited correction ability. If you really want to have a complete correction system for personal use, my recommendation would be Menzerna FG400, PF2500, and SF4000. With just those three, you can tackle pretty much any correction.

If you don't want to spend the time and are looking for a quick very minor correction and gloss boost, then an AIO product may be what you need. Hard to say w/o knowing your wants or seeing pics of what it is your trying to correct.

Ill take some pictures and add them to this thread prob would help alot more.

I have and used all in one don't waste your money there are better products out there.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking about going the V line polish route, any experience with these products?

white specific waxes are just waxes filled with minor cleaners and a very very fine polish to clean the car. black waxes on the other hand have far more fillers in them to really make the black pop.

Speaking of Chemical Guys. From what you are saying, I believe you will be just going straight to V38.

If it were Meguiar's then it would be M205. (I think)

I believe Meguiar's white wax is a cleaner wax. (Which I am sure most of you know)

I am still not sure what a cleaner wax opposed to a polishing wax like the Meguiar's Black Wax does. I know what polishing would do, but not a cleaner :dunno:

Take that video with as much grain of salt as you'd like. I have found some of there videos while entertaining :D to be odd at times (i'll leave it at that)

Not sure if you mentioned it above, but what machine do you have specifically?

I have, on many occasions, taken advantage of the
good-naturedness of the folks here on AGO's forum.

Perhaps this is your turn at doing so.

I ordered the MicroFiber Madness Dry Me Crazy to compare it to Chemical Guys Woolly Mammoth.

The woolly mammoth won hands down, just a quick tip if you are planning on ordering a drying towel.

Since your going to be doing polishing you won't have to worry about stripping off any wax that maybe on the car already your polishing process will do that for you.

I have used the Extreme Body wash and Wax and I liked it.

For you AIO (All in One) I would say you would be better off either going with a better AIO like Meguiars D151. Another option would be to get a finish polish since you said you only have light swirls though a photo will greatly help us in deciding what route you should go. There are many polish to pick from but from what you have said I would go with Meguiars M205 or Menzerna PF2500. Both give great results.

If you polishing your paint and remove the swirls no real need to have a glaze on the paint I would just go right to a sealant then a wax if you choose.

I already have a paste wax from Meguirs thats white paint specific that I planned on using as a last step. I'll be using the dressing on my tires as well as throughout the interior.

Since the white wax is actually more of and AIO itself I would go with a sealant then wax combo you will yield much better results and longer lasting protection.

Any input would be appreciaited. Oh and yes I have a Orbital that I'll be using to apply to the product expect for the paste wax.

Are you talking about a DA or a big wax spreader than you can get locally?
