Chemical guys products

What do you guys think of chemical guys products?

^ they are one company i do not trust. i wouldn't buy a polisher, carpet extractor, or anything that is expensive in fear of them not warranting it if there were a problem thus getting the run around. their car washes are the only decent offering, but there are equivalents from other companies that are just as good if not better..

if there were more companies like Autogeek and Griot's Garage with honesty/sincerity and good morals the car care industry (or any type of business for that matter) would be a better place...

Thanks for the reply. Just starting out and looking for advice, thanks again

John, there are alot of great products and if you need some good advice, you'll find plenty of it on here from some genuine people. welcome aboard!

If you want a great line to start with you can't go wrong with 3D/HD.

I'm a product w%%%%e and have used most of them, HD is where I'm at now.

Now regarding CG:

Silk Shine, the best interior detailer bar none imho. I used it today. I have at least 8 competing brands and it's still my favorite.

Their Nubas, Pete' 53 , 50/50 great stuff. Washes are all good, used Honey Dew today. The rest, I'm passing on.

I've given most of mine to others to share the wealth.

:iagree:
Don't get caught up in the Chemical Guys hype. I wasted my time with a lot of their products only to be disappointed with most of them.

Croftgate tire and plastic shine is the best interior detailer hands down. I will only use that. I personally use many CG products and very happy with them. I get amazing results on my customers vehicles with CG! CG may not be the best, top tier stuff but it works really well at a fair price.

Having used some of Chemical Guys Products before; I would look into other brands. I do not have a single product from Chemical Guys anymore. Anything in the PBMG group are IMO superior in every way. Blackfire, Wolfgangs, Black Label and McKee. The same goes for Meguair's, Poorboys, Menzerna and a few more.

I too have tried chemical guys, considering I'm local to them living in Torrance, I bought some of their products. Now you'll only see me there when they have a tent sale and they're selling cw&g and many other products at $10 for the gallon. Can't pass that up. I like their soaps and that's about it. Everything else I get from Autogeek. Can't ever go wrong with their customer service. I don't mind waiting a couple of extra days for my order either.

They have a forum & a blog on their website LINK REMOVED and tens of thousands happy customers  (me not included) this is the fact.
Every car care company has it's fans, even if it's junk, :wow: who will swear by it, you went a wrong way. Instead of asking what is the best, ask yourself what you can do to make your detailing fun & satisfaction. If you look only for pennies, then the cheapest car care is the way to go (remember that cheapest & most expensive products are made of or share the same ingredients inside the bottle, there is no exception, all extras are marketing + packaging).
If you work with normal people, money will find you, simply make their cars look nice & make them believe in you, because if people will not trust you, you can show them the most expensive wax in the world but they will pay you the lowest price for such work.

I have reached a point of no return recently to develop my own super car valeting products that only I will use exclusively to detail my club members cars & bikes, it's not for sale on Ebay, in fact it is not for sale Worldwide so AG store has nothing to worry about
I still will use other brands I like products but much less than before, much less.
Simply I am using the best car care products Made in Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, England, USA to mention a few as raw materials for developing my own formulations & label - Sharkpolitur.
At the moment it's 3X300ml polished aluminium bottles & 1X200ml bottle plus previously mentioned wheel cleaner wax & sealer with lotus effect is developed & ready to go - only need to find a right packaging for it (I think about plastic spray gun it will be, played with glass & crystal but it's too heavy) :dblthumb2:
I am not looking to compete with anybody, I will simply use & enjoy it because it's my own. You can buy any best in the world polish or wax out there but you can't buy Sharkpolitur :hungry:, it's not for sale.

P.S. Few of my multi-millionaire friends already know about this & support me, they say it's very cool, go for it.
Here my pal Eli googles: Sharkpolitur, during our daily cigar & coffee briefing

Buyer beware...........................

I've had numerous problems with their "customer service". Very difficult to get correspondence, and very resistant to helping customers when they send faulty/wrong products.

The hex face pads are really nice though.

Not many here like them. I only use a couple of their products. Blacklight as a filler after my last polishing step and then typically coat it with a good quality LSP for sealing. I also use their HexLogic Pads and have had great results. They are likely OEM'd from someone else but they work for me.

Buff and Shine is the exclusive manufacturer, but they've sold me some junk pads before. They didn't have the same foam pore structure, color, number or shape of hexahons, or backing material. The backing would dislodge after it's second use. I'm going to see if B&S can custom make me pads with my own design for personal use. That's how much I love variegated pads, and how much I loathe CG.

I do like their pad cleaner too..

Their polishes lose consistency on my, and take on a watery consistency.
