Washed my brand new, garage kept 2014 SRX using Zaino products. I'm happy with the results on the paint, but I've damaged my trim. this isn't sun fade as the car is garaged daily. Any idea how to restore the original look? Help!

Look like wax residue or polish it might of been covered with dressing.

Did you try using an APC and scrubbing with a brush? I was able to remove residue this way. Dressing the trim should cover it as well.

Just an FYI - Zaino car wash did not do that....

Something else is going on there.

Since it's a new car - it's not oxidation. It's likely something on the trim and partially in the plastic. It's likely fixable.

Pick up Mothers Trim CLEANER / restore kit. It's the one with the little brush. Follow the directions and report back.

Probably this. I've washed a bunch of new cars and seen this. They use silicone based ones normally do if I can point out to a customer the slightly shinier spot and tell them what it will probably be covering then I save my own ass.

Get a car specific APC or an OTC trim CLEANER. See if that works.

Or, try a pink eraser or peanut butter. Those have worked too.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback and suggestions. I ended up trying a number of alternatives in sample areas over a four week timeframe.

1) Dawn dishwashing soap and water. Limited success.
2) zaino trim finish. Worked, but the haze came back weeks later.
3) leather cleaner followed by leather protector. This worked very well, but would have been expensive to use on the entire car
4) Sal from Zaino recommended a White Nylon eraser. This was ultimately the fix. It removed the white haze completely. I followed the eraser treatment with Zaino trim protector.
Car looks great and has been washed a few times without the white haze returning.
Again, thanks for all your help!
