Here is the brother of the last truck I just did. This was a customer from last year who actually took pretty good care of the paint after I fixed it. He also got the Platinum Package so the truck is ready for the show. Enjoy!

I love that color green you did really restored it back to its natural beauty

116 views and 1 response. I either need to stop posting my details or I'm not doing as good of a job as I thought. Thanks jamesboyy

^No, you are definitely doing a good job! That shine and flake pop on the afters are awesome. To agree with you - the befores showed swirls, but from afar, the truck looks pretty freakin good! So that must have been cool for you to see your work after a year (of being not cared for presitine-ly) and have it look that good!

Great work. I'm sure this took some time. That is a lot of paint to polish.

How many hours and what products and processes were used?

Great job! I can surely appreciate how much work goes
into detailing a full size truck.

I have a 2002 Dodge 2500 and I'm slowing working
through the detail. I can manage about 4-6 hours
before my shoulders are toast and I have to stop.
Then it's load up on Tylenol and a couple cocktails! :xyxthumbs:

Just getting started, but I have the hood and both
front quarter panels done. Also did a 3 step on all the
glass. That in itself about wiped me out.

I'm in Washington, so everything was moldy and then
pollen caked on top of that. Had to remove all the weather
stripping on the doors, clean the channel and the stripping
before putting it back together.

Everything black has been treated including the wheel
wells. It's looking good, but still a long way to go to the
finish line.

Keep up the great job!

Greg

Thanks everyone. It was about the same time as the last one so around 12 hours.

Paint got washed with CG citrus wash n gloss, clayed with speedy prep towel fine grade. It was polished with my Flex 3401 with a LC purple foamed wool with Menz FG-400, then orange hybrid pad with Menz PF-2500, and finished with a white pad and Menz SF-4000. It was topped with Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant 3.0. Tires were cleaned with Megs Super Degreaser and dressed with PB BnB. Engine bay was cleaned with Megs Super Degreaser and dressed with Megs Aerosol dressing.

looks deep!!! I think people may be put off by all the "accesories" the owner has on the vehicle

Thanks. There is definatley a lot going on with his truck lol

Yeah, what model truck is that? Oh yeah that's right a 6.6 Duramax Diesel.
Silly me.

Nice work though, excellent job.

I was gonna say ... is it a Chevy? Wait... is it diesel?
:props::props:

Nice work!

Nice work on that truck! That green is actually a very nice color when the sun hits it.
How long did it take you to do it? I only ask because it seems like it's got quite the sq.ft to be polished... Again, good job!

I tend to look at the forum on tapatalk. If it's got a ton of pics I'm probably not going to let them all load. If I'm on mobile data I will back out really fast.
