we all fall in love with our cars one time or another. my recent client is in love with his tahoe. ever since he knew i got into the detailing business he's been wanting for me to detail his beloved tahoe. we scheduled to start working on this beast since thursday. (thats why i missed mike's thursday night open garage) anyways, business is business and i was more than happy to detail it for him. the interior wasnt that bad, but the leather seats were nasty. this is a pic i took with my phone, you can obviously see i had just finished doing one seat, and left the others intact so the makeover can be noticeable.

the paint was bad, really bad. very deep scratches, swirl galore and it was very rough. he had neglected it for a while. he said that he knew it wasnt pretty, and all he wanted was to revive and make the black paint pop again.

having said that, i went with my cheapest polishing package. the aio.

this is how it arrived.

so i washed it, nano skin pad clayed it..
and the fun started :buffing:

after a couple of hours of polishing.. (i used hd speed) and topped it off with spray wax. (customer wasnt paying much)

even though it was a simple all in one job.. it took me quite sometime to finish this beast. 7 hours in total.

That is a beast and it was really dirty but you restored its beauty with a little care...great job

Great Job Josue! Looks good for simple AIO! Keep up the hard work!

Were you able to get rid of the swirls with the AIO? Hopefully I'll see you at one of mike's Thursday night open garage meetings. I live about an hour north and hope to make some to learn all I can. I think I read you are new to the business side? How did you learn?

Wow what did you use on those seats? What were your processes? Those were nasty.

thanks man! yup, he wasnt paying much so he got the aio special. besides, he wasnt concern about swirls and scratches he knows his car is beat up.. all he wanted was to look half decent.. and he told me i did that and more.. so that felt good. today was extremely busy for me. the hhr is making an impact everywhere, and everyone comments on how nice it is.
i always have it looking sharp.

yes, speed does a good job at removing light swirl marks.. if you want more cut, i suggest hd cut with a more aggresive pad (orange).hopefully ill make it to mikes next class. ive been going for the most part, but recently ive been flooded with work (thank god)
yes, im new to the business side as well. so far so good. you can call me if you ever have any questions, my number is on my website.

man, those seats kicked my butt. they had body oil from 1999! i used my McCulloch steamer. steam is your friend for leather seats. steamer, trianlge head attachment wrapped with a terry cloth towel.. and scrub away all that nasty stuff. after that i used megs, leather cleaner and conditioner.

it was extremely dirty! all it needed was some tlc!

Those panel have a lot of real estate.
