Hey all!
My name is Jon aka "Griff"! I'm 27. Married. I'm located about 40 miles north of chicago. I've been detailing since I was 15, Dad and I built a 66 small block stingray and he showed me the beginnings of taking care of your vehicle. I worked at a Detail shop (Mostly dealer cars) and learned some more... In 2009, 2 years after I graduated college and doing a job I hated I started my small mobile detailing company. (I also work 3-4 nights a week at a restaurant). It was doing well, but in Feb 2011 I had to have back surgery... missed a year. I got back to working around August/September(I did get to do some details in October, mostly regulars) Now that I'm back on my feet, I'm SUPER excited to get back into detailing! Sooo itchy for it! I got lucky and already did my first interior detail of the year!
My best friend runs a window tint company so I also offer Tint as well as Remote Starts. My brother does Paintless Dent Repair so that is also offered.
I still do work 3-4 shifts at a restaurant, but I'm looking forward to growing this year. Hopefully in two years I'll make up the money that I make in the restaurant to not have to do it anymore! Even if my back "acts" up, I will just slow down and always keep detailing as a hobby and small "sidejob".
I also buy/sell things on eBay so if anyone ever needs advice let me know!
Well... there is my long boring intro. I LOVE the user friendliness of this site!

I also have a ridiculously weird youtube page... it's just fun. JDubGriff's Channel - YouTube
I also am super lucky so have such a awesome wife to back me up on the many things I do. I like to have my hand in a lot of things... this year though, I am putting most of my focus on detailing.
