Chicagoland Detail Day is Sept 23rd!

I also think an autogeek gift basket would be cool to raffle off to raise money for next meet or food or whatever. Just a thought.

The gift basket is an awesome idea but we currently don't have one. I thought the idea of sharing products by bringing something you've got extra of or slightly used would also be a good idea but it seems noone has posted about that idea, so maybe the gift basket comes through. I can send Mike Phillips a PM, worth a shot, right?

Oh yeah, there's yet another FNL show on another Saturday night at the Scion/Toyota dealership in Palatine, Sept 8th, so if you wanna show your ride, come on out, these shows are awesome!

The gift basket idea was something I thought Autogeek would happily donate to showcase some products they could eventually sell us anyway. Lol. What is an Fnl show? I have a Gotta Have it Green Mustang V6, not exactly a show car .

Bill, your Stang is more than welcome, its basically a cruize night for the newer cars and older, cool imports. Basically, if its your pride and joy.....bring it! FNL is Friday Night Lights and it used to be on Friday's and since its an established name, they use it even on the Saturday shows, LOL!

I guess we'll see about the gift basket from AG....stay tuned.

Really looking forward to this!
Now I need to set some time aside to get the Fusion prepped for the meet. :xyxthumbs:

......as will everyone, talk about peer pressure:buffing:

Now you've done it MadMerc....jinx! The detailing part of it will be done inside Ivan's shop, so we'd be good there. I say

I have a suggestion for the items to bring. People could list what products they plan to bring so that others don't bring the same products or if there is something you've been wanting to try you could list it and hopefully someone could bring it.

Happy to hear that the get together is coming along. Hope you all have nice weather, many attendees, and fun.

I have Optimum Hyper Compound Spray, a ton of the Hyper Polish Spray. 8oz each of the Compound and Polish II, new Optimum Micro-Fiber Pads, their Spray Wax, and my Flex 3401.

Great idea Chalm, when I get a tad more time I will post my list as well, keep the idea's coming, this is a good one;-)

I'll come up with a list, too. That'll force me to go thru my supplies. Great idea!

I posted a list on the other thread. If there was anything on there you would like to try just ask. So far the request have included Speedy Prep Towel,DynaBrade da attachment for rotary,Griots 3" da, m101, micro fiber pads, Fusion, BFMS , m16. I have a couple of folding tables set aside and a large cooler.

Ok, here's my list:

-GG 3" & 6" RO (their orange and red pads)
-GG Best of Show wax (willing to trade for something)
-GG One Step sealant w/KAIO mixed in
-GG Machine Polish #2
-BFWD & BFCS
-DG #101, #111 & PBA
-Klasse sealant glaze
-Meg's UC

Now as far as towels I've got GG Speed Shine towels, their wax and polish removal towels and a pair of their huge pocket'd drying towels. I also have a nice gray towel that came with my BFWD bottle, think its a Cobra...love that one too.

I will also have my QD mixed w/KSG, a little bit of AW, alien clean 3:1 ratio and BF total eclipse tire gel in my old milk crate that I always keep in my car. I'm willing to let anyone try anything out, its what our event is all about....try it before you buy it.

The one product I'd like to try is Black Light and V7, wanna see how it compares to DG #111/AW combo I've been using. I love my BFWD and I know they have a spray wax as well, so that would be another combo.

Being somewhat new to the area I was wondering if there's somewhere in the area that you could rent time inside a shop to hand wash your car in the winter? I for one would love to give the car a good hand wash every other week. I use the good touch-free wash at the local Speedway but nothing beats a good ONR-ing!

Where did everyone go, LOL. I really need to try out someone's buffer on a section of the black Honda but only after listening to its owner first, thank you;-)

I'll be trying the Dynabrade, Griots 3" and 101 as I have yet to touch any of those yet.

I won't list all the stuff I have as it'll be around and available for some to sample, but I do have Sonax Perfect Finish, Blacklight, and the nanoskin autoscrub pads. I've been busy lately but will be putting some energy into getting this set up over the next couple weeks.
