Not sure if you all visit the other boards, but our little Kobe has some problems with his little heart. Its time like these where we need to come together and say a small prayer to the gods of our own choosing that this blessed child is moved back into complete health. We must also consider reminding the parents not to lose faith. I hope you will add Kobe to your prayers and your families prayers over the coming days and weeks. Together we are sure to make a difference and add some much needed support to our forum friend!!

I wish Kobe the best and he will be in my prayers. It don't seem far that one litte boy should have to go through so much. Most of us really don't know how lucky we are.

second that.

Wish him nothing but the best. Definitely in my prayers....

Here's another prayer for Kobe, and his family :grouphug: .

Kobe and the family will be in my prayers! I always check the other board to see if his son's ok.

That sucks, didn't he just get over his cancer scare as well? :(

yea they had a scare recently... this is terrible and i wish him the best

Thanks everyone! It means a lot.
Here is a copy from the other forum....

For those of you who have been following the posts I make about my Son, I have another update.

My Son is the type of boy that is constantly on the go. Run, run, run, run.
Usually at night, he is still wide awake, and getting him to go to sleep was always a chore. He is the type where, when he is ready to sleep, he drops wherever he is, whether it be on the kitchen floor, under the table, etc. Just falls out.

Over the last month, he has been very tired all the time. Falling asleep in school (pre-K), falling asleep as soon as he gets home, or just falling asleep very early in the evening. Doesn't want to play or anything.
Wife took him to the hospital the other day for check-ups, and did blood and urine tests. His Urine tests came back and they said they weren't normal.

A follow-up test shows he has a hole in his heart. Which is letting in un-filtered blood run through his body. Now they believe he has a blood and heart infection, which is possibly causing him to be tired all the time.
When you are born, you have a hole in your heart, that closes, usually, before your first birthday. I guess with the tumor he had, sort of messed it all up, since the tumor was right there.
He will be having an echo cardiogram on Thursday to get more in depth.

Just thought I'd share..

Just sad!! Poor boy, and family! They will be in my prayers too!

My sentiments exactly! Very well said, Gary! Kobe will be in my prayers as well as the rest of his family. The trials God puts us through.......:grouphug:

I do not visit other boards and have not even been here often, so I had no clue. Thank you for letting us know his status.

God bless,
Lauren

My cousin has a similar situation with his heart, has a hole about he size of a nickel...never closed up, but he had surgery a couple times. Guess its fixed b/c he's 20 now and very athletic.

UPDATE -- UPDATE

He had another appt. today. It was a follow up to all the fevers he has been having. Everything checked out ok!

Except.......lol

We got back test results from his CT scan....
He has a Cyst in his Lung. About the size of half a dime. They want to wait to do anything to it. Re-scan in about a month. If it is fast growing, or a malignant cyst, they will have to remove part of his lung to get it out. again, they want to wait to see how it pans out... Way to stress me out again.....
My Boy cannot catch a break for anything.......
------------------------------------------

I am thinking we need some addtl prayers, can you reach out to friends and family. Its ok to pray to the god of your choosing ! As a parent, there is no greater support than to know others care. Show your support to Kobe ...as well as mom and dad, they need a break and some support.
