Is the chemical guys brand worth the money ? For exampe if i was going to buy all my products in bulk from 1 company would chemical guys be a good option or do you think they are overpriced

Sent from my LGL35G using AG Online

Chemical guys make some great products. The problem with sticking to a single brand is there may be a specific product from another company that will either outperform or cost less than the chemical guys product.

Which Chemical Guys product are you looking into? Maybe other members can help you out with a better option if there is a better one.

I like and use a lot of chemical guys. I also use a lot of other brands too. I don't think they are over priced. On there site they have some good detail kits at a good price

I like Chemical guys products, however, the competition has great products too and it is very difficult to be all one product person (ie Chemical Guys). I like Blackfire Products, Pinnacle and Pinnacle Black Label, Menzerna, and Optimum Pro Technology products. I mix and match what is best for me and what I feel works best for me. Some may be less than Chemical Guys some maybe more. Overall, Chemical Guys are a good product and I think you can't go wrong. It is just your preference.

Like on different sites I go to clearence or special saving section. C/G has some really good deals on their items. As with everything else, budget fiqures into things.

Whatever floats your boat ...

Chemical guys have some good products but IMO its hard to just buy from one company cause each company make a certain product more better therefore I buys from different companies to get the best performing product collection

I have and use a number of their products. They are some of the best bang-for-buck on the market if you buy in bulk, but I wouldn't go all one brand--you kinda limit yourself. Go with what you like. My detailing chems mainly consist of Chemical Guys, Mothers, Meguiars, Optimum, Detailers Pro, and Collinite bought from AG and some local retailers.

i like their car soaps, that's pretty much it and if i had to find other soaps elsewhere, it would be hard as you got great ones from DG, megs, etc, etc,.

My recommendation is not to put all eggs in one basket.
For example, I thought 778 was great but 700 left something more to be desired.

I agree. You really cannot be brand loyal in this business. I like the CG products I use but I do use other brands. Some of CG products really do work great for the money.
I use CG, Optimum, Menzerna, P21s, Garry Dean's, Blackfire. The list goes on. The trick is to get the most out of each product you can. I hate reaching for a different bottle for every little thing and that is sometimes what you get with CG. They have a lot of overlap in their product lines.
So do your research and decide from there. In terms of pricing with the exception of a few things I think pricing is pretty fair if not better then some other brands.
I'm a huge fan of the V line polishes, shampoos, VRP and no one can talk me out of Pete's 53' it's a great wax for the money.

"Use what you like and use it often."

I'd focus more on technique rather than the tools/products for the most part.

I like a lot of their products hit I also like other companies as well. They have a lot of products that is good for bulk purchases that can be diluted. For a normal weekend warrior some will last quite a long time.

To add on if I want to try a product I buy the smallest size and if I love it and run out I will buy a larger size if needed. Sometimes a product from one company will work better than another on a particular application even though it was reversed on another.

I don't really like giving CG my money because of their sh**** business practices and customer service.

I haven't bought all of their products, who has with all that they sell? Lol
However there are a couple I like a lot, Maxi-Suds soap and their Super VRP tire dressing.

I find the soap has plenty of lube and I find I don't have as many water spots when washing my car, you'll never run out of suds, that's a plus for me:)

The VRP last on avg. 2 weeks on my tires, another good thing I love about it is you can dilute it 50/50 with water and not lose anything, like getting a free bottle.

Their v34 is an OK compound providing you don't have serious defects, easy to wipe off.

I have a bunch of their buffing pads , some that were used a lot and still look and work good. The hex logic pads.

I have purchased a good many of their products and all I have used have worked pretty well. I really like the silk shine dressing for interiors and the maxi suds shampoo

I use Chemical Guys soaps and microfibers. I like them.

I agree with everyone with not sticking to just one brand. I use all kinds of brands... depends on what's best for the money and what's best for the job.
