Chrome Bumpers - What is best?

You may recall my post a month or so back about detailing my Father-in-Law's Nissan Frontier.

Well, it is now my Nissan Frontier. He decided to buy a 2007 Honda CRV and he sold me his pickup for what the dealer offered him as trade in. A good deal for me! It is a 2000 with only 56K.

Anyway, my question is what is a good product to use on the chrome bumpers? My Jag has plastic chrome so I really have no experience with chrome bumpers. After reading a few product descriptions I'm thinking about the 1Z Einszett Chrome & Metal Polish “Chrompflege”.

Has anyone used this product? Any other recommendations?
 
I've used Mother's Chrome Polish everywhere on my 2002 Honda Shadow motorcycle, and that has both metal and plastic chrome on it. Works great. Surf City is a choice too, as well as Never Dull.

As long as your bumpers are in pretty decent shape to begin with, you can't really go wrong. The difficult part is trying to bring chrome back to life.
 
Pirex, I thought about that one. The only reason I thought the 1Z might be a better choice is that the description says it adds a layer of protection whereas the Surf City product appears to need a different product to add the protection.

However, I'm sure either would not be a bad choice.
 
I have two bottles of the 1Z that I purchased on a closeout last year. It works very nice but a bear to remove because it has some protection in it. Having used every metal polish I can find, I can only offer two exceptional products and one we dont carry currently. (Mothers Billet, English Custom Polishes) --- I will say I am looking to try the new Surf City offering and Metalwerks from Wolfgang shortly in hopes of finding something in house.
 
I use the EZ. I think it works great. I like the protection especially on exhuast tips.
Easy on easy off. Good protection.
 
To just ad another option, and make it harder to decide her`s the:

Duargloss Duragloss Metal Polish (MP) #881 metal polish.

I didnt like it on uncoated/neglected Alu rims by hand, but this with the Mother Polishing ball on the same rims........WOW....i buffed off with the flitz, and its just amazing how glossy those rims got.

Works on Chrome too

i wouldnt use the P21s polishing soap on chrome, i think its more for uncoatet metal..
 
Steel Wool And Soap And Water.....stick To The Basics...works The Best, Then Seal The Crome With A Durable Sealant.
 
If you use steel wool..make sure you only use the 000. I have used a ton of products from blue magic to autosol and even finishing polish. It depends on how bad it is and what you want to do..just like with paint.
 
I've tried a lot of different combinations of polishes on my chrome on my Colorado. 1Z chrome polish is nice, but can be a pain in the butt to remove. Mothers chrome polish is nice, but additional protection is a must. I've also had good luck with Rolite on chrome as well as stainless steel. I'm about to try the Surf City line on my next order. But so far I'd give the nod to 1Z.
