Chrome running boards

Just curious of why you posted that.I don't have to prove anything to anyone.

Can we get back on topic guys? I don't plan on using steel wool.

Are you sure they're chrome plated? Have any pix?

Factory steps on a 13. Best I can find is they are listed as "chromed aluminum". They have black plastic "steps" under each door. I have some mag and aluminum polish but I don't know that I need something that abrasive. They shine after they're washed, I'm just looking for a way to keep them cleaner in between washes. May be tough in the midwest in winter. This is one of the reasons that I went with powdercoat black ones on my last truck. This one had OEM boards so I was set.

I thought about the wheel sealant. My only concern is that they would be too slick. Any validity to that?

I didn't imply anything of that sort. I was just genuinely interested in seeing your work and how you go about presenting your photos.

You don't have to do anything.

As far as the meme of Michael Jackson, that was humor...

I use the optimum metal polish in the spring after a typical Iowa winter, removes the pesky rust specs, nice shine and leaves protection behind

Thanks. I forgot about the tubular style steps.
