I'm looking for an effective way of removing cigarette smoke from the interior of vehicles. I have heard stories about Oxiders and Oxygen Generators. I don't know much about either. My questions are What are some brands and models? Are there better options? What would be the startup cost associated with this type of machine? Are the effective? I'm just trying to figure out if it is worth the money to invest in something like that. I presently have a Mytee and really like it but I have an automobile dealership that is interested in having all there used cars that have smoke odors in them sent to be Oxidized. Sounds like it would pay for itself but I was wanting to check options and opinions here before I did anything.

Cigarette odor is a tough thing to get rid of.
Myself I ozone it over night and still at times the odor remains.
Don't forget to change the cabin filer, if not the problem will remin if it's really bad.

The DrivePur system is the only thing I've ever used that completely eliminates smoke odor. It has never failed for me with dozens of applications. Everything else is a shot in the dark really.

steam around the (headliner / top of driver window) and pretty much the whole headliner.. steam the seat belt too.. the smoke tends to be drawn to those areas when driving with window cracked.

after your cleaning/filter change etc try something called auto vaccine. cheap and effective.

Would steaming the headliner not put the integrity of the glue holding the liner to roof at risk.

I have no experience with steam cleaning interiors so my question is merely out of curiosity.....

Steam does not remove nicotine odor. It will only help with bacteria based odors.

I've never used either of these but have always heard good things about them.

Do some research and then go for it.

:)

steaming does work. And it can hurt the adhesive if you're not careful.

DrivePur if you can afford it, otherwise try CarPro's So2Pure. They have it on sale on their site for the bigger 1000 ml bottle.

I'm looking at 2 different companies, I think. Maxblaster and OdorFree Villa 1000. Does anyone know anything about either company or model. I called both companies today and not sure which one to get, if either.
