Customer just asked could I do anything with his hood. Well...I was able to do a little. It was/is in really bad shape. The hood was repainted years ago and they used single stage paint. The pads were covered in red paint. I felt I should let the hood soak in some Megs glaze #7 before trying to polish. It came out much better than what it was. Ended up using some menzerna power finish and sealed with powerlock.

that looks awesome! how long did it take you to complete?

Honestly it was only a little over an hour. I know your suppose to let the glaze sit for much longer, but customer was really just like lets see what it will look like.

Awesome job! Now just polish up those headlights, and that car might look brand new again!

I gotta show this to some people who think their red paint is destined for chalk.

Now, had that chalky red been an older factory Mitzubishi Eclipse, it would have went straight through the clear with something like Menzerna 2500. By hand! Beleive me, I know :(

Oh I agree. I was starting to sweat with this one. I could actually see how thin it was at some points.
