I have a question concerning specifically DP'S Quick Detailer and DP'S Clay Lubricant.

Can't a quick detailer be used as a clay lubricant? If this is so, why do they sell separate clay lubricants? Marketing Plot?

I've always used Quick Detailers as a Clay Lubricant.....so please someone correct me if I am fouling myself out.

Thanks,
Andrew

i'm "assuming" that hte clay lubricant is a diluted quick detailer.

Some QDs have too much lubricity and will effect the ability for the clay to do its job.

Fantastic!! Thanks for the clarification! It's just a diluting issue as I expected. Dwayne, Once again you impress me!! hah

Dwayne, What do you think about Optimum No Rinse? Are these no water car wash supplements not intended for heavily soiled cars? I would think not.

Its great for a car that isn't heavily soiled. I use it all the time especially in the winter.

To stay kinda on topic I use ONR @ 2oz to one gallon of water for my clay lube ;)

Fantastic!! I am going to order a gallon to use as all 3.....Sweet, sorry for falling off topic. (Moderators)

FYI the Opti Mitt is an excellent choice to go along with the ONR. It releases dirt much better than a MF towel.

P.S. I have the Shmitt one, but will purchase another as well.

dwayne do you prefer an opti mit over a chennele(spelling is wrong lol) mitt?

What is the dilution rate for the quick detailer when used as a clay lubricant?

What quick detailer are you talking about? Most people just spray the quick detailer on the car without diluting it.

I use Dodo Juice Born Slippy and love it!

We were talking about OPT No Rinse and how you can dilute it into a clay lubricant or quick detailer.

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products

Add 2 ounces of No Rinse Wash & Shine to a gallon of water to make a super-slick clay bar lubricant.

Add 8 ounces of No Rinse Wash & Shine to a gallon of water to make an excellent quick detailer.

I didn't like it at the recommended ratio for 36oz bottle (that's 1/2 oz of ONR to that bottle) so I went 1oz.

But than gain I stopped using ONR as a Clay Lube and went with Dodo Juice Born Slippy.
