I can add him to the list but I need solid commitments from anyone that says they'll be here so we don't have a no-show and this keeps someone else from attending.

Just lucky I guess. In the right place at the right time?
I have not seen the Mercury in person, so I don't know the condition of the paint. Joe, the owner of the Chevelle brought it by Autogeek yesterday so I could see it and take a few pictures. I wiped the trunk lid clean and we both did the Baggie Test and yup... she needs to be clayed.
There's also light swirls throughout the finish and on the hood there are places where it looks like the paint was rubbed hard leaving sections of straight-line scratches.
Not that paint defects are good for a car but it's good for a class on how to do paint correction and paint coatings.
