thanks,I started using opti bond about a year ago and love it. I like that theres no smell and it is water based. The car was going back into the garage so I think the opti bond will last a long time as it is not immediately hitting the road
 
It's hard to tell from your limited photos, but "above the rear wheels" it looks like an add-on fender flare which is likely a different material from the rest of the car and was painted separately. That likely accounts for the differential aging and color difference you saw.

on the front below the bumper is definitely a different material. However, the one I am talking about was above the rear wheels. It felt not like paint, but was not a fender piece

(Note: A paint re-spray is often very expensive...)

If ibiz would make a clay lube, I would use it, I dont want to exactly go for using their waterless wash as a clay lube just yet
 
I did just purchase a 128oz size of optimum no rinse, it should arrive next week
