Hello
I have a quick question. Should I Claybar a vehicle that has ceramic coating? If so is there anything I have to particularly pay attention to?

Yes, you can use both clay bar or a synthetic clay on. Coated car. This can be done once or twice a year to remove stubborn road film. You might want to consider using a Griot’s Garage Ceramic Speed Shine that is specifically made for that purpose.

Keep in mind that the reason to not clay a ceramic coating is the potential to marr the surface. Try a chemical decontamination first.

^^^This. Be careful with claying as it can/may marr the coating.

I would not. Clay always ends up marring some and then you can’t polish to fix that or else you’ll remove the coating. Chemical decontamination is the way to go until you’re ready to re-do the coating.

A treatment of an iron remover thats PH neutral like Iron X once in a while will do wonders in keeping the contaminations at bay. CarPro also has a snowfoam soap that has Iron X but it is much less concentrated than the actual iron X itself. I guess it is meant to be a maintenance product.
