Friends,

would you like to share your clay of choice and explain why you use it.
At work i have had 3 different clays ie 3M, Clay Magic and a no-name clay bar which is a little softer. The latter is more flexible that the others so it's the choice right now since we can take a piece of it and bake it thin for usage.

Prizes in Sweden are ridiculous though, the 3M bar is a whopping 57 dollars!

Any comment will be appreciated.

Thanks-Daniel

Considering you are in Sweden you might be able to get some of that Ricardo clay from Canada.

Being that my paint is new, I use the Pinnacle Ultra Poly...very flexible, soft and gets the job done without excessive grabbing or marring

Well if like big clays because they are easier to hold onto, i have droped too many small clays. Right now i am using griots clay as it is the only big clay i can find, it is very sticky so i like to wear latex gloves so that it does not stick to my skin, yet it sticks to the gloves.

My clay of choice is Ricardo clay.

Joy: Just buy 2 of any clay and mash it together

I like Mothers clay a lot. Doesnt fall apart and I use it with soap, isnt sticky unless your hands are 100% dry, and it doesnt marr the paint.

I have yet to find a more aggressive clay that I like.

until the patent on clay runs out, most if not all in the states is basically the same product.

To get to the size i like i would need to mash together 4-5 clay bars. that just isnt practical:(

Two
Pinnacle Ultra Poly for my own so that I can clay as often as I want.
Mothers for all others. Very good clay but I think that I buy it and use it as much for the lube "Showtime" which is also a very good lube and QD.

I like clay magic blue clay. I cut it in fours, so I have four small clay bars instead of one. I have around 15-20 box's of it.:D

I hope so, man. Got to find the source to shop from, too many hands handling the merchandise raises the prize.

You have tried a number of more aggressive clays so far? I'm curious so it's a good read to see what you are using.:)

Ive only tried Wolfgang and 4*. I didnt like the Wolfgang clay at all because it was really hard, and fell apart. 4* isnt quit as hard, and hasnt fallen apart yet. But it does leave marring even in hard clears.

3M is the hardest clay we use so far, I'm got into clay when I got this job. When marring hard clears.....that's a little too much.

I use griots clay and i like it alot it dosent mare much at least if you keep it wet enough. That is also the only clay that I have used so far.

Clay Magic blue and red, Jeffs Werkstatt grey, Sonus ultra fine and Opti Clay.

Jeffs is far easier to knead and the red clay gets out stuff far easier but will marr alot. heck they all do except ultra fine.

I just use regular Megs white clay bars and Megs qd'er thats slick. Worked perfect for me everytime.

That was what I was going to mention.

That's why I buy whichever clay is the cheapest at the time of purchase.

I stumbled upon 5 cans of free 3M clay, so that is what I am using at the moment. And in response to a comment above, I have never had the 3M clay mar a surface.
