I got one these clay alternative foam blocks, from elsewhere. It came with no instructions!
How do I use this thing, the rubberized surface to the paint? The foam surface to the paint?

I recently got one of these but haven't used it yet. The foam side to the car. That's about all I know about these I've never used a clayfoam block before.

Use the rubber side on the paint. Break it in on the glass first. Its pretty aggressive and will marr the paint so expect to use at least a light polish afterwards.

Cool,thanks!

I've read read to use it on the glass first to "level off" the block though.I will do that.

Use the rubber on the paint. First you want to run them over some glass for a few passes to level them out. They can be quite agressive if you don't do that first. Once everything looks uniform you can use them the same way you would clay. Just make sure to wash off any debris every few passes.

You hold the foam part, the rubber/plastic side goes on the paint. Use plenty of lube, and be sure to follow up with some sort of polishing.
