Claybarring tommorow, need a quick OTC wax??

Going to do a claybar tomorrow, and want to polish and wax


Any suggestions on a decent OTC wax, or polish? (Or combo?)

Black Mercedes...

(We have auto-zone, Wall-mart, advanced auto etc. (No collonite though )

This is temporary, as I am taking the car to have a pro detail it, but I have a show on Saturday.

check an see if you can find any Surf City Garage Barrier Reef, Meguiars Nxt 2.0 they would both work good for a temp wax. I like the Surf City better.

I would suggest Meguiar's Ultimate Wax.

Meguiar's, maybe? Ultimate Polish to prep the paint, followed by Ultimate Wax.

Usually can't go wrong with Meguiar's. Several people have recommended their NXT or their Ultimate waxes. I prefer a past wax over a liquid. Meg's Gold Class is a solid OTC paste wax IMO.

I used Mothers Synthetic wax on a black car and it looked great. It has a darkening effect on most darker colors and made the black look really deep. If you have the time I would use their California Gold Micro-Polishing Glaze then top it with the Synthetic wax. All OTC and less than 15 bucks for the pair. Can't beat it IMO.

Good call Bobby, I was about to suggest the same... Just be sure that you get the Mothers wax that specifically says "step 3" as some of the others have cleaners in them and IMO are not as nice as the Mothers Cali Gold...

Mothers Cali Gold is a VERY underated wax and is no slouch!

I would suggest Meguiar's Ultimate Wax.
