Claying with Water Only!?

If you have just washed the car why not just use the wash water to lube. It has lubrication in the form of soap, you have already got it there from the wash and as you go along you are effectively washing the car again.

I have done this, but prefer a proper clay lube as it reduces the chances of micro marring. If I am doing a full paint correction I may opt to use the wash solution as lube tho. Depends on the car and customer.

I use DJ born slippy. It's a superb lube, very economical if you buy the concentrate, and free rinsing. I wouldn't like to clay without lube tbh.
Lol @ genesis coupe :laughing::laughing::laughing:

I use a nanoskin pad on a orbital polisher at a low speed that I can run with one hand. In the other hand I have my foam gun loaded with car wash shampoo. I spray it as needed to keep a foam going along with the nanoskin on the polisher. It's the smoothest finish you can imagine and it's the fastest method I've come up with for claying. You could do the same thing with a spray bottle but I think your forearm would get a good pump keeping up with how quickly your can clay. Perhaps a pressure sprayer would be a better idea.

Buy your self a bottle of onr and a gallon of distilled water follow instructions for mixing, cheap and it works.

:iagree:

You never know what kind of minerals or deposits are flowing through your water spigot!
