All,

What is the BEST pad cleaner? I don't care what it costs. Last night I mixed Chemical Guys Micro Clean, OxyClean, and Tide in burning hot water in washing machine. By God now they're clean.

Thank you.

I use Megs APC+ at 4:1. Spray on liberally and massage the product into the pad. Rinse out with warm water and repeat if necessary.

Trying to get sealants and waxes out of pads is very difficult, but they can be cleaned out.

I used Black fire pad cleaner, as soon as I finish with it, then I'll wash them in Dawn on gentle with a full tub of water and lay flat ( hook and loop up) to dry

I like DP pad rejuvenatator. 2 scoops in a 5 gallon bucket with about 3 gallons of water. Throw it in there after use and let it soak. There hasn't been anything yet that won't come out, including sealants and waxes.

What product was in the pads? I find that polish is easy but waxes and sealants are a pita to get out and takes multiple tries to get clean.

I use cg pad cleaner and hot water. Sometimes I get lucky and get everything out in the first try. Most times I need to do it twice. I will try spraying it with a APC first as others have done.

Wolfgang Finishing Glaze and Black Light were the two that fought me. I've given up on trying to get Dodo Juice Purple Haze PRO out. I apply it with a GG 3" and a red pad. I just throw them out after.

I had a really difficult time cleaning m66 out of a white lc ccs pad. That being said, the CG pad cleaner works great!

I use snappy pad cleaner for polishing pads with excellent results. For LSP pads I soak in Mineral spirits then pad cleaner. If you're throwing them away I'll take 'em.......

spray window cleaner on pad , have a mf towel around your hand and turn the da on, i clean them on the fly for the last 2 years.

i can sell you may pad cleaner bucket wash if you want Im the MAN

I usually just use dishwashing liquid to remove any residue from pads. If they are really stubborn like a sealant especially WGDGPS, I will use Megs APC+ 1:1 and let them soak for at least an hour then rinse, and tada no more residue at all.

I spray mine with APC the either scrub clean and rinse or us a pressure washer to clean the pads.

Ive recently tried 1z Blitz to clean my pads...very good job. ive been using it too to wash my MF instead of micro restore...

i think it is working great! and seems to rinse perfectly clean (but i always do an extra rinse cycle).

When everyone talks about GP, I have to ask mysel, why not use 409 or (my favorite) FABULOSO(it is great for everything). One thing I have noticed on a lot of cleaners,, they all smell and feel the same. White bd cleaner and glass top oven cleaner are the exact same thing as is the USN GP by lighthouse for the blind. So I think I will keep a plastic pan around with a mix of Fabuloso w/ Gain or Dawn dish soap around to put in for pre soak. Then wash out with hot water and let dry.

I have been wondering if window cleaner would work. Only because the XMT pad cleaner that I use (does a great job BTW) smells exactly like window cleaner on steroids. :)

I found another thread where someone was using Meg's super degreaser to clean pads. I might try this. Sealants and waxes are a pita to get out of pads.

use alcohol instead of window cleaner , should work too.
i clean the pads with that method for at least 2 years now.

* i still have the pad washer for sale :)) if anyone is interested :D
