Nice work. I just tried Folex today for the first time and am very impressed with it. I saturated the carpet with it, agitated it with a tampico brush, and didn't even blot it- just used the Bissel LGM on it with hot water only. I am amazed with the results! Have you tried using it in the Bissel?

Folex is a great product. Beware of using it and letting it sit for more than a few minutes. Once that stain sets in good luck.

That little Bissell Proheat Auto does work pretty well. Even though it's not a hot water extractor it does a decent job.....

Nice carpets!! :props:

I'm very happy with the machine. Best $50 I have spent

You mean putting folex inside the solution tank? No, I just use hot water in the solution tank. I spray folex on the carpet scrub with a brush then use the bissell

Related...is there a any signficant functional difference between the Bissell Proheat Auto and the Bissell Little Green Machine?

I think the difference is the color and the attachment. I also think the LMG comes in heated and non heated versions

The official product description for the Bissel Auto Proheat says it 'raises the water temperature by 25 degrees,' but it doesn't specify if that means already scolding hot water (I can turn up the water heater, like anyone can, and make the water dangerously hot).

I don't want to spend the $700+ on a true professional-grade extractor... YET... so I'm wondering if this would be the best bet for now, or if I should simply use a brush, spray treatments, and a shop-vac? Share your thoughts guys, thanks! :)

Well it works great for the weekend warrior/hobbiest. It would be good to start off if you dont want to spend that much money. Its not the price of the product but as long as it gets the job done. Just spray down with the solution you will be using agitate with brush then the bissell. The is couple of other threads of people using the bissell with excellent results

I got ya, stands to reason. I heard someone early in this thread or another one about Bissel talk about how it was the "best $50 they had ever spent," but everywhere I look online they are $90-100. Any points in the right direction? $50 would be a no-brainer just for the ability to squirt hot water to break up the soapy residue and vacuum in one
