I've always either dawned my cars before re-waxing it if starting the process of removing water spots or scratches. Currently I used the WGTSR and WGFG , with WGDPGS and Pinnacle Souverän™ Paste Wax on my black car. On my wife's White Arcadia currently have Zaino, so here are my questions.
1. To buff out some scratches and/or spider webbing I might have missed the first time on my back car, can I just use the WG twins and the wax or will I need to remove the product currently on the car first?
2. I want to try out another wax on a small section on my car car over my existing WG and pinnacle products. Do I have to remove the existing products in that area first (i.e. using Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion) before applying the new wax or can I just put the new wax over what I currently have for a test spot? (Wax would be either Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845 or Maxwax)
3. On my wife's car (Arctic White) which currently has Zaino do I need to wash with Dawn or just use a cleaner (i.e. Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion or XMT360) then wax?
4. XMT360 is a 3-1 corrects, cleans, & seals, so my question would be could I put a coat of wax on after using XMT 360 (i.e. Maxwax, Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845 or Pinnacle Souverän™ Paste Wax) would it be worth it or just a waste of my time and product?

Any help would be great.

1. Polishes will abrade the surface and remove past products, so you dont "have" to remove a wax or sealant first yet "can" if desired.

2. You can add a wax over most products, but you likely will miss its unique look and true ease of use. I suggest removing first and then seeing the true product in action. The Paintwork lotions from Pinnacle or P21S are great choices indeed.

3. Use cleaner, Dawn wont remove cured Zaino IMO and yet is to harsh for consistent use in car care. I prefer to leave it in the kitchen.

4. XMT360 is indeed a cleaner type wax, and by design will remove any product underneath it. Kinda defeats the purpose.

XMT360 leaves a sealant behind, so yes you can add wax after using XMT360. There may be some cure time before you can apply your wax, typically 12-24hrs.

1. No need to remove, any polish will take care of that
2. Trying another wax over Pinnacle will not demonstrate or show any quality of either wax. If it were my car, I would wait until the Pinnacle wears out (say about a month or so) and then do the car in Pinnacle and have a few areas with something else you want to try
3. Dawn is way to "drying" for automotive paint use. I you have not waxed in the past 1-2months, then a good wash and dry, then wax. If you want to wax and you have used a wax recently, then a good paintwork cleanser will do the trick
4. dunno, never used 360
