Cleaning cargo area of SUV

Extractor (good one, not a Rug Doctor) goes a long way, but there are other methods. I've seen a foaming product used, followed by a microfiber wipe, and you could also encap, let it dry and vacuum thoroughly after.

Due to the various material used in a cargo area I used a microfiber towel wrapped around a steamer and folex to clean the cargo areas

That's what I use.

I've seen some that had everything you have ever heard of embedded in the carpet. Including melted wax. One Explorer I pulled the carpet out and used a hot pressure washer on it first. Then just left it on the ground and went over it with a Rug Doctor.
Some hot water and Folex and it was looking like new again. Plus it no longer stunk!

Thanks for the suggestions. The material in the cargo area is not exactly carpet but it is kind of felt material with fibres.

I will try to take a picture.

Initially I was planning on using bissell little green extractor, but worried if it might damage the material.
