I have seen several companies advertising different grades of clay . I am now confused with that . Seems like the upper end only have one grade . How would I decide which grade I needed if I went with the one of the multiple grade brands ?

Any of the regular grade / popular clay is fine, they all come from the same company. It's the aggressive clay that you need to watch out for, it'll remove a lot of contamination, but it'll leave its share of marring behind as well. As long as you use an ample amount of lube (clay lube, QD, car wash solution) you'll be fine with any of the regular clay.

you will find light (Pinnacle Ultra), regular (Wolfgang, DP) and aggressive clays (Megs purple, Claymajic) available.
