I compounded my car and made a rookie mistake of not taping the trim and windows. Now the trim has white streaks from the DA and compound that will NOT come off. Is there anything I can use or buy that will take this off the trim? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Most people recommend mothers trim cleaner. It is a kit that comes with a little brush. I have not had the chance to pick it up yet. But I here nothing but positive things about it

I was just looking at that on their site, hopefully I can get more input on this thread. thank you!

Apc 1:4, if that doesn't work then apc undiluted. Pour a small amount on microfiber and rub

Buy it. It works great. You can find it locally at most places if need be.

If it is dried wax I have had luck with the pink eraser. Yes, the little eraser you use to use in school.

Doesn't work on rubber or felt. Pebbled texture not so much...but if you rub the pointy end on the dried wax it disappears.

No damage to my trim.

I am however not an expert at this, or even a mildly advanced competent assistant :)

Now you know why we tape off trim.
I use PreWoW to clean any trim the the former detailer left behind.

Tried the Mothers trim cleaner and it got off about 70% of it after going at it with 3 applications. Maybe ill try again tmrw. Thanks for all the help guys

Stiff brush on hard area with toothpaste and a tooth brush for soft rubber and a whole lot scrubbing,a pressure washer would speed things up if no success with toothpaste try straight alcohol good luck.

I am an autogeek but my wife doesn't know that. For my birthday she bought me products from a different source. One of those products was this.
I had gotten some WGDGPS on my pebble grained rear bumper and tried everything to get it off. IPA, bug and tar remover, WD40, PB Blaster, APC, etc. So I see this bottle sitting on the shelf and said why not. I dabbed a little on a spot and let it sit for a few seconds. Took a microfiber and lightly rubbed the area. In about 10 seconds the wax spot is gone whereas nothing else would touch it. I did the rest of the bumper and was done in very short order. This was back in May and the spots didn't return so they indeed were removed not covered up. No rubbing or scrubbing and no partial results.

I did the same thing on my first detailing. Quick tip: get a rubber eraser (yes, simple eraser) and it'll clean up the dried wax from plastic. To get the plastic clean and shine again, vacuum the bits of eraser, and then use a trim protection like Aerospace 101 or trim gel etc.. It worked for me, easy and cheap..
