Cleaning Crevices

I'm curious how others reliably clean out crevices and seams (like between adjacent panels) when doing rinseless or waterless washes. I missed some spots on the car I'm working on and it's been bugging me all day. When I caught it I used D114 and a flagged brush to remove the some of the dirt (there's still a bit left), but it got me thinking that a way should exist to get a better result. Wedging something between two panels and hoping for the best seems like it produces too inconsistent a result, but I can't think of anything else.

Do other folks have this problem? What's on my mind right now is to use a tall-pile microfiber towel, mitt or pad (or maybe a cotton swab) that is damp with rinseless solution and attempt to gently pull out the dirt.

Included below are pictures of the sort of crevices to which I refer.

what panel is that? can't you just open the hood, or doors, or trunk, to clean in between the panels??? anything i can't get that way i just use detail sticks or q tips

But sir these arent paint or are they?

Yea they can be used on paint. Just be sure to use plenty of lube, and by paint areas it's mosty around emblems and such... Think window trim, etc.

However I wasn't talking about using the bristles in this case, I was referring to the black plastic tip on the handle, it can be done bare, or just wrap a microfiber around the tip. Mothers recommends it right on the label of those brushes.

It's funny because you're right for most cases, you could just pop the hood or open the door... But what about that lip underneath the back window of the Kia? I know for a fact you get built up dirt in there, just like me.

oh yeah, thats the one place i was thinking of but its under a window and above the break light. the picture the guy posted looks like the corner of the hood. i was just using detail sticks on that pain in the a s s spot on the kia. i threw some of those brushes you posted in my cart. hey i got my flex xc today, do you use yours with or without the handle?

Be carefull using those brushes on the exterior of the Kia, especially the embems. I made a small bubble on the S in the Sorento emblem on the rear door. Use horsehair/boarshair detailing brush on exterior instead, unles you really need the extra punch. They're great for many uses though, just be carefull on paint and obvious areas + use plenty of lube with them.
