Cleaning foamed wool pads

What's the best way to clean foamed wool pads?

I use the washing machine, lay flat to dry.

On the fly I use a brush. When I've finished the day I clean it in the pad washer or in the sink. I rarely wash pads in a washing machine unless I rinse it out thoroughly with warm water and soap first. By then it's clean anyway.

Just soak it in a bucket with detergent and let it stay there for a day. then rinse it with water for a couple of times until the detergent gone. Air dry it under the sun and your done.
