i have a question about cleaning my microfiber towels; i want to run them through the washing machine and let them air dry and i was wondering if i could use a stain remover like spray n wash on them?

Dave.

as long as the spray and wash that you are using has no scents, dyes, bleach, fabric softeners, etc.

The nature of the deal is they seem to stain over time. I then use them for jobs that I know will stain them even more, like blotting a dirty carpet, etc. Then just keep using them on the dirty jobs. To halfway answer your question I've thrown everything at cleaning them and some stains just won't come out. Tough for us folks on here b/c we want to see "clean".

I get crappy MF for doing jobs that I know will stain the MF. Like cleaning door jams and engine bays.

even with using the microfiber rejuvenator (2-3 oz per wash load), some mfs do not come out stain-free as mentioned above. the worst are those i use on wheels only. but even the super plush cobras for waxing look a little discolored yet do not leave any swirls.

stains are fine, though. you have a prob. when you can smell old product or even feel it.

My grunge towels used to have quite a lot of stains. When I start using them to dry off tires, wheels and wells with ONR they went to a whole new level of staining. I have around 150 in rotation. I've considered dyeing the ones I use on tires, wheels, wells and jambs black.

i agree with PhaRo except i don't use mf --even old grungy ones on tires--just the old beach towels lying around. tires and wheel wells are like cleaning the inside of exhaust pipes.

I use my M.F.'s only on Wax, Sealer, and QDer removing, all other duties i use rags......

I pre-soak my towels in a bucket with 3 oz. of MF cleaner and hot water. then machine wash them with 3 oz. or mf cleaner, with hot water and extra rinse. i am using too much water :(
