I bought einszett plastic deep cleaner. It didn't work. I'm trying to get sealant off my cowl

LA Awesome from the Dollar Store removed old dried wax & sealant from black plastic trim. Just make sure you retreat the black plastic trim after.

I will second Ebg18t. I used it on my Jeep Wrangler fender with an old toothbrush the get the residue out of the low spots in texture.

To remove sealant or staining wax from textured plastic, it usually requires a combination approach of some decent cleaner and a fairly stiff brush - even a tooth brush may work.

TS Tire Cleaner works a little better than the 1Z stuff IMHO. If it's extremely stubborn (rarely) I would use a small amount of mineral spirits on a cotton towel.
