what are u guys using to clean exterior trim thats already been sealed with wolfgang or other sealant. im just using whatever car wash soap im using but i dont think it gets them clean enough. also im thinking of putting something on it to make it pop in between sealing like miguiars trim protector. anyone do that

You sealed it with Wolfgang what? Deep Gloss Paint Sealant? Deep Gloss Liquid Seal? Wolfgang External Trim Sealant?

yes! its funny i wrote wolfgang because i didnt want to just write "wets", i wanted everyone to know what i was talking about. i should of just typed the whole thing out

I just wash with whatever I'm washing with...if it doesn't have the pop you're looking for, it's time for some more WETS.

I have been topping mine with Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax, spray wax, synthetic spray wax, quick wax, meguiars quick spray wax, paint protectant, liquid wax, meguires, meguiars car or Meguiars Synthetic X-press Spray Wax, X-press car wax, Meguiars X-press spray liquid wax, D156.

The hard plastic and/or textured stuff?
For those, I use apc & a good scrub brush like the Low Profile Tire Brush or better yet a DA/drill brush attachment.
After that, if needed, dye it with Solution Finish and seal it up with WETS.

yeah but i was talking about after its all sealed. the apc would take the wets off. its my vehicle so i was thinking of using maybe spray wax on it or a spray protectant over it

How times have changed when people are talking about applying a wax to their black trim.Detailing technology seems to have made considerable progress in recent years.
wellim still not sure its ok to be honest, i know you can use most quick detailers to clean it at least.

I should have qualified that I am not using the megs x wax like a dressing. I just hit the trim while I'm doing the paint. I have not had any problems with the megs. I assume most synthetic spray wax would be safe on coated plastics.
However, I am a VERY firm believer of testing anything new on an inconspicuous area before proceeding. Not only test a spot, but give 48 hours for any adverse reactions to reveal themselves. I have seen this step skipped by far too many who now have long term or permanent issues.
