Cleaning the roof, need a quality stool/step ladder

little giant safety step ladder. best there is. check the frame size, step area and their warranty. they have 2, 3, and 4 step sizes and free shipping. makes my old werners look like grade school. i am a big guy and never feel shaky on these ladders. bought one after i finally fell and needed a new knee. cant say how much these mean to me every day i work.

I have the werner one and have velcrom actually both peices I guess I only really needed the one on the sides. I can reach the middle of the roof on a 07 Trailblazer no problem and I'm 5'7". It's easy to move around as well.

That's reassuring knowing your height + the vehicle that you can reach the middle of the roof. Thanks man :props:

The Werner platform is a nice idea but it wouldn't work for me. I'm 6 ft and my Tahoe is very tall. I can't even get the middle of the hood or windshield without a step stool. I first got a two step step stool which is the same height as the platform and it would barely work to get the roof if I leaned against the vehicle and really stretched. I then got a Werner 3 step stool and it was much easier to use and I can lean a little to each side so I only have to reposition it twice per side. It all depends on how tall your SUV is. The Werner 3 step stool is very sturdy and locks open. I got it at Lowes. Shop Werner 3-Step Steel Utility Step Stool at Lowes.com

AG should sell a step up platform of some kind

if they do, rest assured it will have a wolfgang, dp, ag or some kind of decal on it and it will run double amazon or walmart/you name it LOL.

Found one today at lowes that was 29.00 even better score, but very dust covered on the bottom shelf. Looks very nice though.

Hmm, I just step on the tires to reach the middle of the hood and middle of the back roof and the step bars to reach the front of the roof and the windshield. Though I am 6'2". The hardest ones are the lifted pickup trucks.

I use mine with the step stool facing the vehicle instead of the sides towards the vehicle so I don't have to twist to wash or detail the roof. The stool is very sturdy so I don't worry about it leaning forward and contacting the vehicle. I'm just careful when I position it. If your concerned you may be able to use some foam pipe insulation over the legs, top rail etc.
