I have a general idea of how to remove them but wanted to double check from people who do it quite often. If I remember right from what I have read its getting a corner up and then slowly working it off like Tint, with more regards to not pulling the paint with it. Am I correct in this or is their a solution to use while pulling it up?
 
Try using a hair dryer when removing the bra. Or let the car sit in the hot sun before hand. Hair dryer, not heat gun.
 
I've only done it once but was also told to leave it in the hot sun and peel it off slowly. I was still left with some adhesive behind which was a PITA to remove. >:(

Yeah thats why I refered it to being the same as window tint. Which if not taken off currently is a pita to go back and clean up all the adhesive left over.

Yeah but it comes off easy on glass with some ammonia and a razor blade...probably not a good idea on paint! :D
 
Somebody posted a few weeks ago that they removed a bra and the paint was damaged at the bras edge, . So you might warn the owner of the potential for revealing damage before hand.
 
I did a clear bra removal on a black Ferrari Challenge Stradale (talk about nervous....whew). The process I used came from an installer in Atlanta that does exotics.

1. Use a heat gun to warm the area.
2. get a corner and lift straight to your body. Don't try to peel it back on itself..that's where the paint lifting problems come in.
3. Be sure to warn the car owner of damage done during the initial install. The Ferrari I did had razor scratches from the initial install where they cut the material after it was put on the car. A lot of the high quality bra installers use computer pre cut product to eliminate that.

You might not even see the razor marks until you start removing the material...I sure didn't. The Ferrari owner understood 100% after I showed him.

Take your time above all. I think I worked at least 2 hours on removal of front bumper, hood and leading rear fender areas.
