When I was cleaning up after polishing a Mini Cooper, I was using a microfiber towel to remove some stray wax and polish residue from the edges of the clear bra. While I was doing this, my thumb nail made a few marks in the clear bra through the towel. Any idea on how I can get rid of these?

Note, I polished the car in November, and I took the pictures in March. I have tried both a brief attack with a hair dryer, wiping down with and ISO mix. Neither worked. Do I need a hotter heat gun? Is there some strange trick that I haven't found online?

You need to use an abrasive polish. I've had good luck using Menzerna SIP followed by Super Finish on my clear bra. (Flex 3401, orange/6, gray/5)

I've used PO85rd with a white pad to remove some minor swirls etc. from my clear bra

Would M105 followed by 205 be comparable? What should I do as far as how much pressure to apply? The way I look at this is I only have 1 shot to get it right, so I'm looking for as much advice as I can get.

Thank you for your suggestions, everybody.

The old addage is " try the least agressive method first" Don't worry, you have more than one shot at it. Take it from a guy that shoots a whole clip before getting things right

I'd follow whatever Matt says on this. You can stand only a few feet from his hood and not notice his clear bra. Best I've ever seen

IF the polishing doesn't work, you should be able to do the "heat gun trick". This involves heating up the film really hot just before it starts to melt, then flashing with cold water. If you haven't done this before, find a pro clear mask installer. Best of luck.

I've never heard of this trick for removing a scratch in a clear plastic bra before? Is the idea to melt the plastic with the idea of the plastic re-flowing to create a uniform smooth surface?

:)

First try rubbing with isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber. That's what my clearbra installer suggested for light scratches.
