Clear Bra suggestions?

Looking to add this to my car but thought I'd ask first. Anyone have good or bad experiences with Xpel, 3M Scotchgard or 3M VentureShield. All I have read so far is Scotchgard is difficult for installer to apply vs. VentureShield. Xpel has had some yellowing after about a year. Seems all are around 8 mil, VentureShield is clearer than the other two.

Any suggestions, comments with this material?

I have a friend that is a clear bra installer and he does Xpel and he stated that any yellowing would be from any petroleum substance being placed on the film.
 
I've had the Ventureshield on my Flex for nearly a year. Fitment is very good and the product works very well. Given the large painted frontal area of the Flex, it was a no brainer. 11,000 miles in, and there are no dings in the protected area.

The only down side is that due to my Flex being a metallic white, the Ventureshield is pretty easily seen along the edges that are on a flat painted surface. (Across the hood and fenders) It's not obnoxious, and probably would be even less noticeable on any other color.

I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
 
For my money...
The best out there is XPel's Ultimate...includes a 7 year warranty!

Due to the GTechniq issues, I'm having to get my clear bra (3M Ventureshield) replaced. I had a chance to talk to my installer (and look at the cars he was working on at the time - Maserati Quartroporte, BMW M6, Ferrari California, just to name a few) and talk about the ones he likes the best.

He says that it is very difficult to scratch XPel films - he and his employees have tried. That being said it hasn't been out as long and he hears reports about the adhesive malfunctioning in some environments. 3M has been around and poured millions into R&D, including developing these clear bras for the military. If it's good enough for the military helicopter blades, and can survive the desert for the Army and Air Forceand salt water for the Marines and Navy, then I think it can withstand washes from me!

I have had 3M since the beginning and it hasn't failed me yet, so I see no reason to change. I think if you go with Venturshield, you won't be disappointed. Of course, others may disagree.

Huh, what GTechniq issues are you having as I just received couple bottles of the discontinued C3?
 
I went with XPEL's Ultimate film. It's a clear coated film, so the surface is non-porous and shouldn't yellow over time (an issue with porous films, years ago). I couldn't be happier with the product and the installation. The biggest thing is ensuring your installer knows what he's doing. The guy I went with does all of the high-end cars in Pittsburgh, and I saw his work in person before I had him work on my car.

The warranty on the Ultimate film is 10 years, and covers the material and the labor, so if anything happens to it I'm covered.

My installer said that the only thing not to apply to the film would be anything that states "contains petroleum distillates", as these will cloud the film over time.
