Clear coat failure? acura rdx 2011

Hey guys,
I got a friend that recently bought a ''certified'' acura 2011 rdx
I noticed there was some clear coat failure in front of the car.
Now there's more spot coming from the passenger side door. could it be clear coat failure?
What would be the cause of this .. ?

Looks like hard water stains/etching. Have you tried to polish it out?

Hard water from a lawn sprinkler onto a black car on a hot day can leave some nasty water stains if it is not removed promptly.

I agree. That and tree sap etching from sap being left on the paint WAY to long.

Good news yes those were water spot or something else. The front bumper with the clearcoat failure is going to be repainted by acura for free
