Clear Coat Measurer thingy

btw, OP, i dont think that gauge reads CC.. it reads all coats on the paint (or something like that.. read a post about it a while back) the ones that purely read cc run for a really pretty penny

Yeah production mentality is how i was taught for years. The reason i have so many post Is cos I can't physically or mentally work a 9-5 anymore, i just enjoy coming on here and learning as much new material as possible. I have hospitalization/coma pictures if you guys want to see those?

That is the back of my car...

Since I wont be working on brand new 3 clear coat finishes production style like I used too and I wont know who the heck re painted it or how it has been taken care of. I thought this would be a great tool to have when I go do a clients car.

A car that has 3 coats of new painted clear I will be able to work on without a gauge that is just me

And like i said before I think my body can take 1 or 2 cars a month. I don't even think i can, clay, buff, polish, wax a car in one whole day. I might have to do it in 2 or 3 days. Cos it's really hard on me and that is why I plan on specializing on paint, restoration. Rejuvenation etc... Cos I cant do it all anymore.

Typing is easy but I do have a speech problem and I walk with a limp. I feel being on here beats being on Facebook. Cos I am learning. So sorry if I came off as to harsh or all abrupt etc...

Agree on the facebook comment:props:

When typing on forums its hard to sense tone or style of speaking. I am sure I come off at rude sometimes and I apologize. AG is a great place to learn, spend time searching and you will learn plenty.

Facebook does have girls though.

Brand new girl or brand new wax?

Hmm...

•Wax does get you the girl
•but the girl doesn't get you the wax
•but if she does then you'd have to marry her...

Life is complicated... Haha

I just got the Cen-tech gauge that you use to be able to find at Harbor Freight. Ebay had it for around $100. You have to calibrate it but it seems to be measuring the thickness gauges that are sent with it fairly accurate and consistent. Not bad for the price.
