Clearing up rag top windows?

Hi everybody ,
I have a JeepWrangler lined up for Sunday and the owner mentioned that the back windows on the soft top are very cloudy.

I have Plastix and SRP, but does anyone have other suggestions to help remove the sun damage?

My mom had a 95 BMW 325I convertiable years ago that had the same issue. Im curious to see replies as well. I will tell you this though Plastix did nothing for hers. Id imagine buffing it with a polish would work but dont quote me on that as i have no experience with this issue.
 
Yea, I have a feeling Plastix isn't gonna cut it.

Was also wondering if a hand polishing pad would make it easier to get out, or would it just scuff up the plastic?

A lot of UK buddies are pointing me to their products (Renovo, etc) but wouldn't arrive by Sunday so....
 
I use 1z deep plastic cleaner works great. It really depends how far gone the plastic is.


 
I have had goodluck using flitz products on plastic windows.

You have to use the glass cleaner or any type of glass cleaner. Put some spray on it and wipe it out with clean tissue paper. I did mine that kind of technique and the result is pretty much amazing.

Its not a glass window.
 
The 1z deep cleaner came in Friday, so I'm ready to go for Sunday. I'll try and take a few pics of before and after and post them!
 
Make sure to post pics of your results. Looking into this to fix my friend's clouded rear window on his 1999 328i.
 
Just got back from the job. Snapped a few pics of the windows, not sure how good, but will post them soon!
 
Novus Polishes are very good, and are specifically made for such plastics.

Lots of folks use Novus on things like Vintage Ludwig Vistalite Drums (think John Bonham) Fairings on Motorcycles, and I specifically use it on my Turntable, which consists of a lot of Black Acrylic. Any other products I've ever used on the black acrylic seem to leave some degree of haze-film. Novus doesn't, thus I stick with it.

There's three grades of Novus, wise to have them all on hand.

The 1z was super easy to use, just spray on and wipe off. You could see the black on the MF from all the crap off the windows. Produce a uniform clarity, very impressed.

And finally some shots after Reflect polish, Black Magic Detail Taurus wax, cQuartz fabric coating on the soft top and Solution Finish for the trim! :props:
