Cloth fender liner cleaning

You can get plastic wheel liners for the rear. I have not seen them for the front.

I think it’s because basically all trucks come standard equipped with plastic wheel wells on the fronts.

I am now dealing with these on my ZR2. A area that once was taken care of with hyperdressing 1:4 on the normal plastic ones. Well, I have been using 3D Yellow degreaser 1:4 on the fabric ones. I spray them with the 3D and let them dwell a bit. Then hit them with a strong jet of water. So far this has been working. Needless to say, I have a lot of hyperdressing going nowhere. But I will find other uses for it.

UPDATE: I have now read other posts that some members are actually spraying the hyperdressing on the felt liners after cleaning. I have not tried this yet. And don't know if their would be any benefit of doing so?

I've read that mixing fabric softener 1:4 with water in a spray bottle makes a solution that helps brush material out of there. I haven't tried it yet.

I have pretty good luck using a pressure washer. It seems to get the grass out. It just takes time...especially if I haven't given them a good powerwashing in a while. I usually just keep going until I see the water running clear out of the well. The first spring wash is usually the worst after a long winter.

Pressure washer... brush... rags... scotch guard... not sure it helps a lot but cant hurt
