Coated my tires today and WOW,

New Pirellis yesterday. I drove 40 miles home and they still looked good.
An hour later it rained over an inch! I didn't drive in it, but the tires have some streaky, milky stuff all over them. ANY idea what it is and the most gentle stuff to remove it?

I was going to wait a week or so before going to the TW, but now ???!!!??

I coated the windshield cowl on the Kia last night with the TW Trim Coating..

I got home from work to see the results in a bit of daylight, oh yes I'm very happy with how it turned out:)

Trim on the wheel well guard also looks better than new, and just look at how sharp the tires look [even after weeks since I last applied the TW Tire Coat] Love it:)

New tires have a mold release wax on them. After a few weeks driving on them, that mold release wax won't be as bad. Clean them weekly for a few weeks then apply some tire coating.

It's always a good idea to drive new tires for a while and then scrub them down real good and then coat em'. It's very important to apply the first cost and then observe how the coating takes and go from there.

When my Nankang ultra sport 2 tires were new they had that old iced donut look.
Of course I hit them with Zep industrial purple then D143 about three times.
Coated them 2x then waited for a week or two and scrubbed with D143 again to get rid of the remaining mold release wax, then coated 1 time.

Yesterday I got lazy and threw some TW platinum tire shine with wax over the Endura. That might have been a backwards move.

Is there any way to remove the Trim Coat product? For some reason it did not stick well to my rear lower valance and it looks horrible. Maybe I didn't get it clean enough before application.

Rear lower valance? What's that? Pics?

Is it smooth plastic trim? Sometimes it has issues with it. Streaks?

^^^ did NOT like that stuff. Good product, but I'll never understand putting it in an aerosol that blows a fine mist. One spray and you'll have clouds of coating floating around and landing all over your paint. I returned it after one attempt and getting PO'd that I saw it just landing all over my solid black car just after I washed it. OMG that made me mad.

Worst delivery system in the world.

My main problem with it was it only lasted a couple of days on my tires..

I hear ya. I've yet to really investigate and settle on the one I consider the best. I've been using Stoners More Shine only because it goes on very thin like water and seems to really soak in and produces ZERO sling or contaminants on my wheels. Most others will eventually combine with brake dust it seems and really coat up my wheels. Not Stoners. Nothing from the rubber get on my wheels or car. Doesn't last beyond a good rain storm, but it's cheap enough, found locally and again, clean. I like the Satin sheen of it too.

Have you used this TW Endura Tire Coat yet?

Black plastic lower trim with the exhaust tip cutouts on my 11 Ford Edge. Turned out really streaky and a lot of the coating is coming off. Funny cuz, after 2 months, the trim coating still looks fantastic on the rest of the trim.

My mistake.. I got a bit thrown off when I 1st read 'valance' in this tire coating thread.. It wasn't until after my post that I re read your post and noticed you were talking about the TW Trim Coat.
Yea it's weird how finicky it can be on smooth textured plastic trim.. I've been though the same experience before. Nowadays I almost don't even consider applying it unless it's textured trim. On smooth trim I go with an aerosol like Megs Detailer Trim Spray.

I think I've gone at it with a Magic Eraser to try and remove it before.

No but it's funny you mentioned this because it's available locally and I eye it up all the time. Maybe if I run out tonight I'll pick some up. I'm such a snob anymore that outside Meg's stuff I can't bring myself to trying some of the OTC stuff found locally. The store I'm thinking of has it along with other good stuff like 3030 and Collinite products so I may hit them up.

Have you used it?

Use a strong dilution of alcohol, it will take it right off.

I had to tone down what I had typed up as my reply and will instead keep calm.. Lets just say this product excites me. Lol. It is good.

Thanks, but alcohol didn't work. I think this stuff is impervious to any known chemical!!!!:) I ended up wiping it down with the alcohol and applying a few more coats of trim coat.

Has anyone tried Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus and/or TUF SHINE Tire Clearcoat?

I tried McKee's Tire Coating but it started to fade away within a week with 3 coats (did a proper and exhaustive preparation with Tire Rejuvenator).
