Coated my tires today and WOW,

I haven't used this in awhile but I need to get back to using it. I have all these little sample bottles of other stuff that I have been using. I will be using TW again as soon as I get my new wheels and tires.

What kinda of wheels? I ask because your car looks really good and wheels can make or break your ride;)

Ok, here's a pic of the tire after a 2300 mile roadie, lots of rain and when allowed, "hard" driving. The TW tire coating was last applied 2 weeks ago;

I like the wheels I have now but the chrome is starting to bubble underneath one of them. These wheels have been discontinued so I can't get a replacement. I'm still considering my options. I have not found a set that has really caught my eye. It's not easy finding the right wheels.

Looks like it survived the long haul.

Hey Guz, how about the split 3 spokes from the Bonnevilles? I know they're 17's and are chrome, although OEM chrome plating is sometimes suspect:screwy:

Well I am running 18's right now. I already bought the tires a couple months back in 245/45-18. The only Bonneville wheels that I would get are the one's off a GXP that are 18's. My brother has them on his red one.

This is when I did one coat of TW coating.

Full shot of his when I drove it to work some time ago.

I am considering a replica type wheel like that in the sport edition KV5. I am also looking at the ASA GT8. I wanted a set of Boss style 353 concave but the color I want is not available in 18's.

YEAH, YOU NEED THOSE:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

So I tried a could spray coats of PERL on top of the coating the other morning! sprayed it 1:1 let sit for 20 mins, sprayed a second coat let sit for 20 mins, removed excess and buffed off with MF towel. Looked great in my garage, Well apparently it wouldn't stick to the coating, it was raining that day and by the time I got to work it was all gone and ugly. So I had to clean the remaining durable PERL mess off the tires and put two more coats of TW on

My first bottle seems a little low, I am gonna look out for a sale to stock up on some more, I do have one more kit in my basement but I need to find more I have a feeling it will not be available forever.

COAT on my friends.

Why do you think it will not stick around Matt? I'm sure they know how good this stuff is but I guess I could understand if you think this because TW rinseless went away from the popular auto parts store. That said, its available at Menards or Home Depot, forgot which one I was at last when I bought my 2 gallon hand pump.

Sorry, the "hex" on this thread to go away hasn't worked:rolleyes:

Seems like good OTC products just don't stick around not enough profit people can buy cans of tire foam for less and it's less work

Coated the tires on my mom's 96 regal. She really needs new tires as they have cracks in them. But I digress. Here's the result with 2 coats. The tire absorbed a lot of the coating. That is one thing I noticed about these tires when being dressed. They did the same thing with pinnacle black onyx.

Have you guys used something else as an applicator for this? Mine us breaking apart.

I would think any applicator would work, nothing special about the one the kit comes with other than the pleats in it.
